2022 TOD BUs Trip

Northwest Indiana has the opportunity to transform the areas around the new and expanded South Shore Line stations with dense housing to attract a future workforce. This housing was discussed at the Destination 2024 Summit and highlighted as a catalyst for economic growth.

One Region partnered with a steering committee of regional leaders to design a bus trip to explore transit-oriented development to see why younger generations are seeking this vibrant lifestyle and walkable communities. 

Municipal leaders and key stakeholders explored transit-oriented development (TOD) on the One Region Bus Trip to the Chicago Suburbs and Milwaukee, WI.
